"The Dancer"  24 by 30, mixed medium 2007  $30,000  (We do not do gyclees. However, we will do a similar painting to the original for $5,000).  Why is the painting 30k?  The first of my red trees was "Lady in Red."  I was given an offer but declined because I loved the painting so much. We have visitors that bring friends just to look at her in our studio. So, Mary and I, decided we would raise it to 10k because back then we felt pretty safe it would not sell for that at this point in my career.  However, the past couple of months my "high-end" paintings are selling for thousands.  We were offered $10k for the "Lady in Red."  I  panicked (laughs). I  could not let her go.  We then decided what price would I sell it?  I am biting my lower lip.........maybe $30k?  Then........a month ago, Mary comes down the stairs and sees "The Dancer," hanging in our living room.  She said, "Oh, God, another "Lady in Red."  That is why these two paintings are priced as they are.  They  are to me as Van Goph's "Starry Night" paintings. Honestly, I truly feel uneasy at the thought of ever letting them go.     I will never be able to do exact copies of these paintings.  And if I could manage that feat, I would not.  They are special.

When Bhutto falls  the cries for freedom rise

The deodara is the Pakistan national tree.  The moon and star are symbols on Pakistan's flag. The national flower is jasmine, that also represents Bhutto.  Her white scarf rests on the ground. The flower has fallen.  There is a termite (whom the President of Pakistan recently used termites as a metaphor for terrorists) that has cut the flower down.  The roses are America's national flower.  Though Bhutto is departed, new buds rise.
