Stefan Duncan's The Glory Tree (First Squigglism art  piece 2002)

Goal: Representing Impressionists of America.  This site gives a common source for those interested in American Impressionists.  Several of the artist's works and links will be established.  An annual showing for the artists will be established.  This site will also provide information on Impressionism and its masters.  A mailing list will be provided so that members can discuss impressionism and announce events.  A monthly email newspaper will also be created.

Membership:  If you are an American Impressionist send a short bio and two examples of your work to be displayed. We will be glad to show more paintings of each artist and update them. However, a small donation would be greatly appreciated for time and charges to keep this site going.

Founder Information:  The founder of IOA is Stefan Duncan.  Duncan was born in North Carolina and currently lives in Charlotte, N.C. .  He has an English and Art Degree from Fayetteville State University.  He is training under Artist Tom Moore.  Duncan has also made in depth studies of Vincent Van Gogh.  In 1995 Duncan won an Associated Press Award.  He currently shows his works in galleries and is represented by Caroline York.  He is founder of the impressionistic art form Squigglism.
